I have been volunteering for the local humane society and this weekend they had a mobile adoption at the local mall. I went to help you and it was such a great time!
They really want to put the message out that if you adopt a pet, you are saving an animal from being put down at the shelter. This is one of the visual aids that they have. It is a fence with the collars from dogs that they had to put down. About 173 animals put down each week. So sad. This wall of collars really sends out a powerful message.
The foster mom of a dog named "Mama" brought her in along with the 12 puppies she delivered that were abandoned outside the Humane society office for them to find... So sad. the mother had lost so much weight to try to provide for her puppies which thankfully they are all doing so well now.
12 little heartbreakers! They were brought in in a pak-n-play :)
It's no funny how puppies kind comfort in sleeping on top of their siblings!
They were very popular and hard to keep track of! Esp when little kids were around!
It was a great day and we got lots of application for possible adoptions and foster parents!
