Chris's brother Brian sent us this book in the mail for Chris to read before we got married.

Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Got Married

We decided for both of us to read it since we haven't gotten a chance to go to marriage counseling (which we still want to do). Well I would recommend this book to anyone, even if you have been married for years but for sure for engaged couples.

I feel so blessed for Brian to have sent this book to us because on the road trip to San Antonio we went through the whole book discussing it and possible conflicts that could come up in the future. It really helped a lot. I feel like it just made us look at how our expectations from the way we were raised help shape how we predict our marriage to work. In reality that could be the thing to cause fights, expectations without talking about them...

so yes, I would totally recommend this book, as well as this author!
