So Katie was goin to be having a last minute heart breaking surgery due to having miscarried... And having been through the same situation I couldn't not be there for here so we took a last minute flight to NY.
Sucky circumstances but I was really excited to see Katie and cupcake.
We got there late that night and Bennett immediately made himself at home.

We were at the hospital a total of about 6-7 hours. Her surgery was originally scheduled for 3:30pm. Got pushed up to 1:30pm.... She got taken back to get ready for surgery around 1pm.. So we went to get lunch - figuring we had about 45 minutes. Came back soon after to see how it went... They said she was in the holding area waiting to go back.
There must have been a mistake! We left her an hour ago and she was going right in! Nope! Guess they forgot to tell her Doctor that the surgery time got pushed up!
Since it was the pre-op area cupcake and I had to take turns going back to see Katie since babies weren't allowed back there.
Post surgery! Looking pretty good! And feeling better already! (Bennett let some really smelly toots when we were in the recovery room with Katie. I was embarrassed but no one else seemed to care. Also - all the nurses were ewwing and awwing at Bennett while cupcake held him and when I was helping Katie get dressed)
It was a long day! Bennett took a at nap in the makeshift bed Katie set up for him!
Passed out! I think he was sympathy sleeping for his Auntie!
So sleepy!
Next day she felt a little better so we walked down the block to get lunch at "the Mansion"
Raspberries from Auntie Katie. He ended up learning how to make the noise himself after this! It does involve A LOT of spit on his part.
I love this smile.

Waiting in the airport to go home... Quick trip but I'm so glad I was able to be there for my sister/best friend.
