On a side note- I don't really know any of the other parents of Bennett's classmates very well. I have seen them in passing but never really had an extended conversation with any of them - so Chris and I were both kind of nervous.
It really ended up being such fun. Bennett had a great time! A lot of his friend showed up - and it was kind of neat to meet both parents of the babies (most of the time I only see one of the parents depending on who works closer to their school).
Dessert table
It was kind of neat that they put out photos of Azad's throughout his life
Chris and I admired this series - too cute!
Bennett didn't like his mask
Azad's parents are both doctors so I was excited to see what his party was going to be like. I had head that when they originally toured the school- that Azad's dad admitted to delivering many of the babies in the center! Crazy!
Well needless to say - they did a great job and went above and beyond my expectations!
The cake (larger than my wedding cake)
Party bags - with masks
All the babies were supposed to wear masks. Moms wore ear headbands. Dads had hats.
He liked momma's elephant ears!
Daddy's hat didn't fit very well

I switched out my ears for smaller ones... Cow ears?
I've never seen this before. They had 5 things on the floor in a row. The 5 things were to symbolize different career paths. Azad's ran straight for the keyboard - guess they have an artist/musician in the making!
They had a table with this book on it...
I LOVED this idea! It was a"guest book" - mat board that you signed... But you made a fingerprint animal and then signed your name!

It was sad because I think a lot of people didn't get a chance to do this part of the project- but we sure did!
We each made our "owl" with our own fingerprints. Chris made fun of mine cause I messed up the eyes...
Happy family
As we sang happy birthday - he got shy
He did not like the idea of the smash cake - didn't want to do it
Happy 1st Birthday Azad's! We had a great time!
