Cody's visit!

so because of over-crowding on her plane cody finally got to virginia a day later than planned... but got to stay a day longer, so it turned out she was here the same amount of time!

we picked her up around 10pm and came back to our place to hang out before bed.  we ended up staying up til midnight which is REALLY late for me!

georgia and higgins were both in love with cody!

next morning cody and i looked through all 2000 pictures from katie and cupcake's wedding.  georgia is such a cuddler :)

chris enjoyed some xbox while we looked through the millions of pictures :)

then we convinced cody to try our kinect.  they are playing a game where you have to plug up holes

we love kinect because it takes pictures as you go...

we went out to a really good italian restaurant and shared a piece of cheesecake at the end!  yummm!

this one the sauce looks like blood, but it was strawberry sauce

we played hangman while we were waiting.  cody said this was the hardest word...
we ended up guessing it... after all the letters in the alphabet...  look at our guy... he has fingers and toes!

came home and played blockus!

chris won... he was very proud of himself.

so he took a picture to send to his brother brian...  BLOCKUS!

he was so happy :)

next morning we went to breakfast and panera bread.

and then visited sandy bottom nature park!
can't you see the excitment in her eyes?!  (sarcasm)

cody tried to take a picture while playing frisbee

so did i :)

cody playing words with friends at the dog park.
i'd have to say she became a little obsessed :)

we took a "hike" around the nature park and came across these... now i can't remember what they are called but they are little cabins you can rent.  we will have to do this once it gets warmer!

"whip poor will"?

they have paddle boats for rent as well.  i had no clue they had more than one lake in this park!

we went back to the dog park after "hiking" and georgia got to play for a bit...
the little weiner dog jumped up into cody's arms to be protected from the big dogs that were chasing her!

we stopped by cody's favorite "arby's" for some fries on the way home!
sooo yummy!

and tried to play jenga while playing.  i bought "tumbling towers" instead... which i do regret.  the pieces don't make a square so it was very had to set up... this was chris's attempt
 finally got it set up...

and the game lasted 3 moves before cody's turn made it crash!

chris dared cody to take a "shot" of arby's sauce which she did very willingly!  silly cody!

georgia passed out under the table after our day of "hiking" and dog park fun

two seconds later she was up again :)

we had a great time!

a few things cody taught chris and i while she was here:
  • dunkin donuts are q shaped, they have a handle to hold while you dunk them in coffee.  she said donuts and coffee are likt milk and cookies
  • scrapple is the leftover from a grill (her bestie morgan loves them)
  • pregnant women shouldn't scoop kitty liter boxes
  • jazz is the hardest hangman word to guess
  • yurt (is the word i couldn't remember from before) is like a tepee or hut
I am so thankful that cody came to visit.  i always say how my cousins are more like sisters to me and katie and it really is true!  can't wait to go visit her and john in boston!

My other cousin Maddie (my father's sister's husband's brother's daughter ) is coming to visit this coming weekend and then only a few more weeks and we will be back in Tucson for the wedding!  so excited!
