Easter in DC

Cindy and Frank were so sweet to have me up to Reston (outside of DC) for Easter.  The first night we all met up in DC to have dinner as a family.

we went to a restaurant called oceanair which was simply amazing!

One of the things I was most excited about was the cherry blossoms.  Well I didn't realize that the blossoms only last about a week.  I desperately wanted every pink/white looking tree to be a cherry blossom tree.  

Turns out these are the real deal... with not blossoms right now!

Cindy took me on a driving tour of the city because it was raining

We stopped by Maddie's work building to meet her for lunch before Cindy and I went to the museums.

So she took us to the top of her building.  It was so pretty!

Apparently they watch fireworks on the 4th of July up there!

After lunch Cindy and I went to the Modern Art Museum.

 This fountain was so cool... but it doesn't look so cool in the pictures...

Cindy and Frank have a dog name Emily, Emme, Lem, Lemon...

She wasn't used to being around other dogs but her and Georgia became buddies by the end.

the next day we decided to take the dogs to the dog park (which em doesn't usually go, so we thought it would be interesting!)

We stopped to see a wedding party in the middle of the street!

A restaurant that reminded me of how much I miss my Grandpa Clyde.  His memory is all around.

It was such a fun trip.  I'm so thankful that I have some relatives near by (3.5 away hours) to spend time with!  Love you guys!
