Infection prevention Rocks!

We are doing a weight loss challenge at work.  We have teams, so for every pound your team losses over the 2-3 months it is going on for, they will donate a dollar to the local food bank as well as a dollar to the employee relief fund (I think thats what it is called...)

So a group of us went down to Employee Health at the main hospital to do our weigh in...  While waiting for my turn I decided I needed to photograph the pictures hanging on the walls to show everyone else.  I love them all so much and wish that we could get some for our office.  Too bad the people  that work in that department don't know where they came from!

This is one of my favorites!

Just thought I would share :)

Also, since getting my new position we (the assistants) were in charge of planning a gala for upcoming graduates to help find jobs and an idea of where they were looking to work.  Since I got the assistant position mid July I really didn't have much hand in a lot of the planning but more of making packets and the physical labor of setting it all up.

I was very proud of all the effort my coworkers (now friends) had made so I wanted to share :)
The Raffle Table!

Sign up tables... Everyone got a cup and a pen!

Did I mention these are hyper colored cups
 straight out of the 80s /early 90s and I love them oh-so-much!
Every RN, LPN, and Rad Tech got their own agenda with lectures about resumes down to interviewing techniques!  Pretty useful I would say!

Did I mention we were expecting 120 students to come and it was an ice cream social!

Some of the best women (and recruiters) I know :)  Tammy and Lacy handing out food

My manager Michelle was the ice cream scooper pro!

Wish I had a picture of us four assistants who helped put the whole thing together!
Next time!

Did I mention I really love my job?!  Not to mention the people I work with!  They really have made moving all the way across the country, away from everything I knew, away from all my family, away for real for the very first time ever...

well they made it all manageable!  Thanks for being there for me guys!
