Before we went to watch fireworks on Fort Monroe (a closed army base that is now open to the public). - Bennett spent some quality time playing in/with a diaper box

We found one of Chris's coworkers who was there with his family so we set up next to them
I was a smart momma and brought our own glow stick toys
This glow wand was $2 at target - compared to the ones they had vendors selling for $15! Frugal momma for the win!
Bennett also got to play with Mason's (top right) soccer ball! Maybe he'll be a goalie since he didn't get your not supposed to pick it up with your hands
The clouds were beautiful - but telling of the weather to come!
They decided to start the fireworks early since a storm was rolling in- so it was still light out when they started
We didn't realize how close we were sitting to where they were setting them off - Bennett was not a fan. Too loud! It honestly scared him to the point where it's emmer like Jews honestly concerned as to why we weren't not running now the other direction
Shortly after this we started towards the card - and good thing we did cause it started pouring! Lightning and thunder!!
Hopefully next year Bennett will enjoy the fireworks a little more!
