Bennett Update

16 months old

He was not a fan of the doctors office this time. Didn't like getting weighed 

22lbs - 13 percentile

Didn't like getting measured 

32.25 inches -73 percentile 

Liked sitting in the chair 

Head circumference 47.8cm - 63 percentile (guess he has the Wheeland noggin!)

Tall and skinny! It was much harder this visit to keep him from getting into things while we were waiting for the doctor to come back

This is his new thing - having multiple binkies at a time. One on each pointer finger and one in his mouth!

Still loves Daniel Tiger!

And playing hide and go seek or peekaboo!

He is really attached to Chris now. Chris told me the other day that it's so nice to have cuddle time. For so long Bennett only wanted to cuddle with me so this is a nice change for Chris.

Also - starting to get the hang of piggyback rides- although the he was more interested in buying the button on the top of Daddy's hat

He has been so fun now that he can communicate more. He is also better about playing with his toys and keeping himself occupied. I brought a slinky home for him the other day and he thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Loves our morning walks

Loves the animals and will always take the opportunity to sit next to (on) them!

Higgins is so patient with Bennett. Bennet crawls all over him putting his full weight on him. I'm waiting for his patience to run out but so far he has been a very good kitty. Georgia doesn't have as much patience and when Bennett comes to climb on her she usually gets up to move.

Some of his new activities include:

-Walking backwards

-Saying baby (not sure where this came from - we are not expecting)

-Pretending to talk on the phone (he plays with a toy phone GG got him)

-Actually liking baths (we got a water table for him - blog post to come- and he realized baths can be fun!)

-he has become the welcoming committee (anytime he sees someone new he looks at them, smiles, says hi, and waves... continuously!) this happens often when we go on walks and he will see someone coming in the distance and starts walking faster to meet them. Also walks a little faster when he see dogs!

- still loves music and dancing. I never thought the phrase "no Bennett - we dance on the floor - not of the couch" would come out of my mouth.

- he lets me know when he is hungry or thirsty was going to the fridge or the pantry (and complaining)

- still loves fruit (favorites include nectarines and bananas) - we are working on his growing his love for veggies!
