"I thought it would have been bigger..."

A girls trip to New York was my friend Melissa's Christmas present from her husband. To have Me, Melissa, and Katie get together for a weekend. We decided that New York would be a great place to go since Melissa had never been.

After the events of last week it was a good reason to get away.

Here are some photos from our trip so far...

Last night after getting in to town we went to a ramen noodle restaurant called "ippudo". 4 hour wait to be seated but well worth the food and experience! One of Cupcake's friends from high school was in town and he said "let's call a spade a spade. Soup is just hot water with shit in it". :)

We ended up leaving after midnight! This girl(me) is NOT used to staying up and put that late. Needless to say we got a late start the next morning.

Cupcake got up and ran to get up bagels for breakfast! New York bagels are the best!

We ended up going to Central Park to show Melissa the park's beauty as well as get some fresh waffle that Katie had been talking up for hours!!! Yeah... The waffle cart was there... But no vendor to sit and sell us them. Bummer! Maybe tomorrow.

We walked to shake shack to have lunch! Love shake shack! Cupcake left us after lunch to go visit his parents and friends in Connecticut.

Next stop was grand central station. Melissa was blown away with how beautiful it was. I thought it would have been bigger.

We then headed to 30 rock... Rockefeller Center.

Then Times Square! This was pretty cool I would have to say! So many lights! We sat there awhile and just enjoyed the view.

We went to the Times Square Visitor Center and saw the a "retired" ball that had fallen years before. I thought the ball would have been bigger. Everything seems like it would be bigger! :) still pretty cool. We also got to write wishes for the next year on the confetti that they will drop during New Year's Eve next year! How cool!
